CLANFIELD have slipped to second place in the Puma Engineering Hampshire Premier League after falling to a 3-2 defeat at Hayling United on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts took the lead in the 30th minute through Kieran Carter’s goal, but Clanfield were quick to respond.
Darren Ferguson equalised for the visitors on 32 minutes.
Hayling regained the lead when Ryan Jennings scored in the 35th minute, and Andy Brown got on the scoresheet on 60 minutes to give the hosts a comfortable 3-1 lead.
Matt Kirby pulled a goal back for the Peel Park outfit in the 89th minute, but Clanfield were unable to find an equaliser and fell to defeat.
