RAIN ruined the scheduled fixture list on Saturday for East Hampshire’s football teams, with a number of matches postponed because of the inclement weather.

In the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division, bottom of the league Alresford Town’s fixture against fellow strugglers Bournemouth Poppies at Arlebury Park was postponed after a pitch inspection.

In the second round of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup, the ties between Baffins Milton Rovers and Liphook United, Clanfield and QK Southampton, and West Wight and Liss Athletic were all postponed.

The three ties will now all be played this Saturday at 2pm.
