ALRESFORD Town slipped to a 4-2 defeat at Bashley in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday afternoon.

The Magpies found themselves 4-0 down at half time after goals from Conor Whiteley, Lewis Ross (2) and Dan Munday.

Sam Burt and Lukas McCartney pulled goals back for Alresford after the break, but the damage had already been done in the first half.
