PETERSFIELD Town are hoping to bring a familiar face back to Love Lane this week.

The Rams are confident of completing the signing of Phil Archbold from AFC Portchester.

Archbold has played for the Rams before, and was part of the team which won the Wessex Division 1 title in the 2013-14 season and the Wessex Premier Division title in the 2014-15 season.

Rams boss Mark Summerhill said: “Phil is in his late 30s and will bring a lot of experience.

“We’re hoping to complete the signing this week. He nearly joined us last season and we will be very pleased to get him.”
