Petersfield Town 2 Andover Town 1: PETERSFIELD Town scored a 90th-minute winner against bottom of the table Andover Town to complete their first league double of the season.

The Rams quickly took control and went ahead in the fifth minute when Matt Rowland fired home.

Petersfield continued to press forward with most of their chances falling to Rowland. In the 20th minute Rowland was brought down just outside the box. He took the free-kick himself but failed to trouble Andover keeper Dave Tasker.

Andover increasingly came into the game and on 29 minutes they drew level with a well-taken penalty from Shaquille Gwengwe after Richard Way had brought him down in the box.

In the 65th minute a Jordan Geddes header found Rowland, but he put his shot over the bar. Four minutes later a header from Olly Kershaw also went over.

The Rams were then reduced to ten men when Rowland was dismissed for a second yellow card.

Despite being down to ten men, Petersfield increased the pressure and in the final 15 minutes they created a number of chances, with Gari Judd, Harry Tremlett and Geddes all going close, while Will Webb had a goal disallowed for offside.

Andover struggled to mount any meaningful attack and with time running out it looked as if they would hold out for a draw, but in the 90th minute Geddes brought a difficult ball under control and despatched it past Tasker to give the Rams a deserved victory.
