ALRESFORD Town are in 11th place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after two wins in the last week.

The Magpies started their week with a 1-0 win at Five Heads Park against East Hampshire rivals Horndean last Tuesday night (September 26). Tom Sands scored the only goal of the game for the visitors in the 93rd minute.

Alresford built on that success with a comprehensive 5-0 win at home to Cowes Sports on Saturday afternoon.

Chigozie Agwuegbo broke the deadlock at Arlebury Park in the eighth minute for the Magpies, and Aaron Blaxall doubled the home side’s lead on 39 minutes.

Chris Mason made it 3-0 to Alresford in the 70th minute, and John Cole scored the fourth goal on 73 minutes. Sam Doswell completed the scoring when he made it 5-0 in the 92nd minute.
