GRAYSHOTT Cricket Club has held its annual general meeting and presented club awards for the 2018 season.

Carolyn Whitley stepped down as club secretary after ten years in the role and was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Paul Roberts.

Jim Sanders and Malcolm Bowdery, who run the bars at both the club’s grounds at Grayshott and Broxhead Common, won the coveted Sydney Jeffrey’s Trophy Clubman’s Award this year.

Mark Richards won the 1st XI Bowling Cup and the 1st XI Player of the Season Award, while the 1st XI Batting Cup went to Gary Hunt and the 1st XI Captain’s Award went to Dom Ford.

Luke McBain won the 2nd XI Batting Cup and Player of the Season Award, while Andy Lang won the Bowling Shield and Richard Baker won the Captain’s Award. Charles Brayshaw won the 3rd XI Captain’s Award and Player of the Season Award, while Ross Owen won the Bowling Salver and Toby Joyce won the Batting Cup.

Mark Weekes won the 4th XI Batting Award and Player of the Season Award, while Allan Lang won the 4th XI Bowling Award and Lucas Hutchinson won the 4th XI Captain’s Award. Joyce also won the Snowy Hicks Cup and the Mick Greathurst Shield, Rav Sriharan won the Paul Roberts Young Clubman of the Year Award and the Brian Spencer 100 runs Cup, and Gerald Baker won the Chairman’s Award.

Stuart Kennedy was elected 1st XI captain, Sriharan 2nd XI captain, John Wheeler 3rd XI captain and Tim Fry 4th XI captain.
