LISS Athletic had a good week in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division, picking up four points out of six.

Liss won 8-0 at home to Athletico Romsey last Saturday afternoon thanks to goals from Josh Benfield (2), Simon Batley (2), Callum Benfield and George Cameron-Burns, as well as two own goals.

Liss then drew 1-1 at Clanfield on Bank Holiday Monday. Andy Brown scored for Clanfield, and Benfield was on tar-get for the visitors.

Clanfield were also in action last Saturday afternoon, when they lost 2-1 at Winchester Castle.

Francis Cole scored for the visitors, but Ben Rankin’s goal and an own goal gave the hosts the three points.
