THERE will be no Christmas break for Horndean and Alresford Town’s footballers, as both clubs are in action in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday afternoon.

The Deans are on the road and will travel to Hamble Community Facility to face Hamble Club (3pm), while the Magpies face a tough match away at The Crest Finance Stadium against AFC Portchester (3pm).

Horndean are looking to complete the double against Hamble after earning a convincing 4-1 victory in the reverse league fixture at Five Heads Park on August 7.

The Deans also won 3-1 at home to Hamble in the Sydenhams Wessex League Cup on September 15.

Alresford will be looking to complete the double against Portchester after winning a dramatic match 4-3 at Arlebury Park in the reverse league fixture on November 6.
