HORNDEAN and Alresford Town both got off to losing starts in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.

The Deans lost 2-0 at home to Christchurch, as Scott Joyce’s brace gave the visitors the three points.

Alresford Town were beaten 1-0 at Portland United, where Lewis Whyton’s goal gave the hosts the three points.
