HORNDEAN were in seventh heaven after a comprehensive 7-0 victory at AFC Petersfield in the first round of the Portsmouth Senior Cup last Tuesday night.

Connor Duffin (3), Alfie Quick (2), Brandon Jewell and Josh McCormack scored the goals which sent the Five Heads Park outfit through to the second round.

Elsewhere in the Portsmouth Senior Cup, Liss Athletic claimed the bragging rights with a 3-1 win at Clanfield last Tuesday night.

Mauro Morais scored a hat-trick for Liss, while Taylor Hampson was on target for Clanfield.

Liphook United exited the Portsmouth Senior Cup with a 4-2 defeat at AFC Portchester last Tuesday night.

Marcus Bedford and Marco Sellitto were on target for the visitors, but goals from Owen Fee (2), Bradey Norton and George Murage sent Portchester through to the next round.

AFC Petersfield were in action on Saturday, when they crashed to a 5-0 defeat at South Wonston Swifts in Division 1 of the Hampshire Premier League.

Guy Bewick (3), Jordan Holt and Haydn Elkins scored the goals which gave the home side the three points.
