HORNDEAN continued their good form with a 2-0 win against Baffins Milton Rovers at Five Heads Park in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday afternoon.

Alfie Lis broke the deadlock for the Deans in the 14th minute, and Connor Duffin doubled the Five Heads Park outfit’s advantage when he made it 2-0 on 42 minutes.

Horndean manager Michael Birmingham said: “We dominated the second balls, and for the first 25 minutes we were the better side.

“It was a great finish from Alfie Lis to give us the lead.

“Kieran Magee made a wonderful save from Jason Parish, and Connor Duffin was clean through and produced a very composed finish.

“In the second half we were good out of possession, and our defending from the front all the way back to the defence was excellent. It was a very difficult match but it was a deserved three points.”
