HORNDEAN enjoyed a successful week with two convincing victories.

The Deans won 3-0 at home to Binfield last Tuesday night in their replay in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.

Mark Smith gave the Five Heads Park outfit the lead, and Harry Jackson scored the second. Liam Kyle added the third before half time.

The Deans will now host Bodmin Town, who play in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division, at Five Heads Park on Saturday in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

Horndean then won 4-1 at home to Cowes Sports on Saturday afternoon in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.

Gareth Bricknell’s penalty gave the visitors the lead, but Miles Everett equalised for the Deans before half time.

Jack Maloney’s penalty gave the hosts the lead, and Jackson’s brace sealed the three points for Horndean.
