HORNDEAN earned a welcome three points in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after winning 2-1 against Lymington Town on Saturday afternoon at Five Heads Park.

Benny Read’s brace gave the Deans a 2-0 lead, before Timothy Stephenson pulled a goal back for the visitors.

Horndean also earned a point at Alresford Town on Wednesday night, when the two sides drew 1-1 at Arlebury Park. Aaron Blaxall gave the Magpies the lead, but Jay Johnson’s equaliser earned the Deans a point.

Alresford’s match at Bournemouth Poppies on Saturday afternoon was postponed. Alresford had been leading 1-0 through Rob Flooks’ goal.
