HORNDEAN had a mixed week in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division with a win, a draw and a defeat.

The Deans started their week with a 4-3 defeat at Sholing last Tuesday night.

Byron Mason gave the hosts the lead in the ninth minute, and Dan Mason made it 2-0 to Sholing on 22 minutes.

Harry Jackson pulled a goal back for Horndean in the 26th minute, and Liam Kyle equalised for the Five Heads Park outfit on 39 minutes.

The Deans then took the lead when Miles Everett scored in the 44th minute.

Lee Wort equalised for the hosts on 61 minutes, and Wort then scored Sholing’s winner in the 66th minute.

Horndean then drew 0-0 at home to Bashley on Thursday evening.

The Deans completed their week with an impressive 4-1 win at Cowes Sports on Saturday.

Jackson gave the visitors the lead, and Ash Howes made it 2-0 to Horndean.

Jack Maloney’s penalty gave the Deans a 3-0 lead at half time.

Nathan Lewis pulled a goal back for the home side in the second half, but Everett restored Horndean’s three-goal lead when he made it 4-1.
