HORNDEAN exited the FA Vase last Tuesday night when they lost 2-1 at home to Raynes Park Vale in their First Round replay.

Connor Duffin gave the Deans the lead in the eighth minute, but Jack Williamson equalised for the visitors on 76 minutes.

Sam Jordan scored Raynes Park Vale’s winning goal in the 89th minute.

Horndean were meant to play against Amesbury Town in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday, but the match was postponed as Amesbury were unable to raise a side.

Horndean manager Michael Birmingham said: “You’ve got to feel sorry for Amesbury.

“It’s not nice to see a club in trouble like that.”
