HORNDEAN are through to the First Round Proper of the Buildbase FA Vase after winning 2-0 at Combined Counties League Premier Division side Knaphill on Saturday afternoon.

Jack Warren gave the Deans an early lead in the seventh minute, and Harry Jackson then made it 2-0 to the Five Heads Park outfit.

The Deans will now travel to Portland United in the First Round Proper of the Buildbase FA Vase on Saturday, October 21.

Horndean exited the Hampshire Senior Cup last Tuesday night (September 19) after losing 3-1 at home to Bournemouth Poppies in the second round.

Miles Everett scored for the Deans, but goals from Shiv Roushbaiari, Sami Makhloufi and Kev Foreman sent the visitors through.
