HORNDEAN are in eighth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after winning 4-2 at Fareham Town on Saturday afternoon.

The Deans took the lead through Connor Duffin’s goal, and Duffin scored again to give the visitors a 2-0 lead at half time.

Harry Weeks pulled a goal back for Fareham, but Sam Smart’s brace made it 4-1 to the Five Heads Park outfit.

Liam Kimber pulled a goal back for Fareham late on.

Horndean were also in action last Tuesday night (January 3), when they drew 3-3 against Alresford Town at Five Heads Park.

Sam Burt gave the Magpies the lead, but Robbie Tambling equalised for the Deans.

Craig Harding gave Alresford the lead again, and Chris Mason’s penalty made it 3-1 to the visitors at half time.

Jack Warren pulled a goal back for the hosts in the second half, and Mark Smith’s equaliser made it 3-3 and the points were shared.
