HIS COMEBACK was hotly anticipated by Petersfield’s supporters but it was over almost as soon as it began.

Jack James came on as a second half substitute for the Rams in their penalty shoot-out win over Andover Town in the Wessex League Cup last Tuesday night (September 12).

But after impressing in the ten minutes or so he was on the pitch, a hamstring injury curtailed his Petersfield comeback.

Coaching staff Mark Summerhill and Tim Farmer were looking to lift the squad this week after their 8-1 defeat at Team Solent on Saturday.

Petersfield are due to face Sholing at home next Tuesday night (7.45pm).
