LIPHOOK United are in third place in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Divison after a win and a defeat over the weekend.

Liphook slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Stockbridge on Saturday afternoon. Goals from Lewis Price-Lloyd and Dave Moore put Stockbridge 2-0 up, before Ryan Angear pulled a goal back for the visitors.

Liphook returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory at home to Liss Athletic on Bank Holiday Monday. Steve Harding gave Liphook the lead and George House scored the second, before an own goal made it 3-0. Harding then scored his second.

Liss are in 11th place after also losing 3-2 at home to Infinity on Saturday afternoon.

Brandon Bowman and Tommy Leigh scored for the hosts, but goals from Josh Oxlade, Dan Phillips and Macauley Smith gave Infinity the three points.
