LIPHOOK United claimed the bragging rights as they won 3-2 at home to Clanfield in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors got off to a dream start when Elliot Sills scored in the second minute to give the Peel Park oufit an early lead.

Marcus Bedford scored Liphook’s equaliser on 20 minutes, and Toby Hutchins’ goal in the 27th minute put the home side 2-1 up.

Bedford then scored his second and Liphook’s third goal of the afternoon on 40 minutes to give the hosts a 3-1 lead at half time.

Ashley Holmes pulled a goal back for Clanfield in the 48th minute, but Liphook held on for the three points.

The win means Liphook are now in sixth place in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division, while Clanfield are down in 13th place.
