LIPHOOK United are third in the Hampshire Premier Division after their derby victory over local rivals Liss Athletic last Saturday.

Stuart Green fired Liphook in front after 15 minutes before Calum Benfield levelled the scores up for Liss on 67 minutes.

Steve Harding broke Liss hearts by netting the winner in the last minute of the match. The defeat left Liss in seventh place in the division.

Clanfield lost ground on the front running teams in the Premier Division when they fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to high-flying Hayling United last Saturday afternoon.

Kieran Carter’s goal on 75 minutes netted all three points for the visitors, who are in second place in the table.

This result left Clanfield in fifth place in the table, four points and two places behind Liphook but two places and three points above Liss.

This Saturday Clanfield travel across the Solent to Shanklin for their Hampshire Intermediate Cup fourth round tie.

In the Premier Division, Liphook United hit the road to Stockbridge and Liss head to Infinity.

Nest Tuesday night Liss travel to Moneyfields for their Russell Cotes Cup quarter final tie.
