LIPHOOK United are in second place in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division after a win and a defeat in the last week.

Liphook started their week with a 1-0 defeat at Overton United last Wednesday night. Steve Price’s goal in the 85th minute was enough to give the home side the three points.

Liphook made the perfect response with a convincing 4-1 win at Colden Common on Saturday afternoon.

Alex Simmons gave the home side the lead in the second minute, but Peter Lovas equalised for the visitors on 30 minutes.

Lovas gave Liphook the lead in the 35th minute, and Stuart Green made it 3-1 to the visitors on 38 minutes.

Sam Devlin completed the scoring when he made it 4-1 to Liphook on 75 minutes.
