LIPHOOK United are in fifth place in the Puma Engineering Hampshire Premier League Senior Division after earning a comprehensive 7-2 win at home to Clanfield on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts took the lead in the first minute with Steve Harding’s goal, and Ryan Angear doubled Liphook’s advantage on eight minutes.

Toby Hutchings made it 3-0 to the hosts in the 20th minute, but Elliot Sills pulled a goal back for the visitors on 29 minutes. Darren Ferguson pulled another goal back for Clanfield in the 37th minute to make it 3-2.

Marcus Bedford made it 4-2 to the hosts on 62 minutes, and Harding then scored his second goal of the match in the 69th minute to make it 5-2. Bedford scored his second of the match on 78 minutes, and Harding completed his hat-trick with a penalty in the 85th minute to make it 7-2.

Clanfield have dropped to sixth place in the league table after the convincing defeat.
