LISS Athletic chairman Peter Storrie believes the club has a positive future.

The club is already close to appointing a new manager to replace former boss Rich Bessey, who resigned last week.

Storrie said: “We have had a very successful season after finishing fourth and reaching a cup final, so it is an attractive job.

“The junior section continues to grow and I want there to be a clear pathway to the first team.

“The club has a strong committee but we are always looking for volunteers to help at all levels.

“Becky Goode is our treasurer and secretary and is doing both roles, but she is happy for us to find a new secretary.”
