LISS Athletic are in fourth place in the Puma Engineering Hampshire Premier League Senior Division after a win and a draw in the last week.

Rich Bessey’s side won 4-2 at home to Clanfield last Wednesday night.

Aaron Fennemore gave the hosts the lead in the 15th minute, and Tommy Woodward made it 2-0 in the 37th minute.

Martin Steel made it 3-0 to the hosts on 61 minutes, before Ross Caldwell pulled a goal back for the Peel Park outfit in the 68th minute.

Woodward scored his second of the game on 70 minutes to make it 4-1, before Kelvin Thurman scored in the 79th minute to make it 4-2.

The defeat leaves Clanfield in ninth place in the league table.

Liss then drew 2-2 at home to Bush Hill on Saturday afternoon.

Woodward and Ash Howes were on target for the hosts, with Tom Mason and Perry Harding scoring for the visitors.
