LISS Athletic are in eighth place in the Puma Engineering Hampshire Premier League Senior Division after earning a comprehensive 8-0 win at home to Stockbridge on Saturday afternoon.

An own goal gave the hosts the lead in the fifth minute, and Josh Benfield made it 2-0 on eight minutes.

The floodgates opened in the second half and Dan Sharpe made it 3-0 on 47 minutes. Connor Messenbird scored the fourth in the 53rd minute and Benfield made it 5-0 on 63 minutes.

Messenbird helped himself to three more goals in the 80th, 81st and 84th minutes to seal Liss’ 8-0 victory.
