LISS Athletic got their Hampshire Premier League Senior Division campaign off to a creditable start with an encouraging 2-2 draw at last season’s league winners Bush Hill on Saturday afternoon.

Daniel Errington gave the visitors the lead in the 32nd minute.

Cain Prentice then equalised for the home side on 33 minutes to make it 1-1.

Nathan Gray scored in the 45th minute to give Bush Hill a 2-1 lead.

Liss looked like they might be slipping to defeat, but Joshua Benfield’s goal on 83 minutes earned the Newman Collard Playing Fields outfit a share of the spoils.

The point leaves Liss in seventh place in the league table.
