LISS Athletic beat Puma Engineering Hampshire Premier Football League Senior Division leaders Otterbourne 1-0 at the Newman Collard Playing Fields on Saturday.

Alex Miroy’s goal in the 65th minute gave the hosts the three points.

Rich Bessey’s side also won last Wednesday night, with a 4-2 score at home to Liphook United.

Lenny Burney scored twice for Liss, and Miroy and Matt Andrews also got on the scoresheet for the hosts. Steve Harding and Ed Cardona were on target for Liphook.

Liss are now level on points with Otterbourne.

Clanfield are in eighth place in the table after crashing to a 4-1 defeat at Paulsgrove on Saturday.

Bobby Scott scored twice for the hosts, and Declan Seiden and Sam Bichard also got on the scoresheet for Paulsgrove.

Cameron Palin scored Clanfield’s consolation.

Liphook United are in 11th place in the table after earning a 4-2 victory at Headley United on Bank Holiday Monday.

Marcus Bedford, Rich Covey, Harding and Alex Elcombe scored for the visitors. Richard McCann scored twice for Headley.

Liphook drew 1-1 at home to Bush Hill on Saturday. Harding scored for the hosts, and Tom Mason equalised for Bush Hill.
