Alresford Town 1 Lymington Town 3: ALRESFORD Town not only saw Lymington take all three points on Saturday but the visitors jumped above them into fifth place in the table thanks to this result.
Alresford put the visitors under plenty of pressure but Lymington took their chances.
Lymington got off to the perfect start after four minutes when Owen Fee’s free kick from the half way line seemed to be missed by everyone on its way to goal and it went in.
They doubled their lead on 24 minutes after a good break down the right and Sam House shot into the far corner.
Early in the second half Alresford won a penalty but Ben White’s spot kick was saved.
On the hour mark Fee scored again from a free kick – this time curling home his shot from the edge of the penalty area.
The home side netted a consolation goal in injury time when White forced the ball into the net after a goalmouth scramble.
Last Tuesday night, Alresford were knocked out of the Sydenhams League Cup at the Third Round stage at Hamble Club.
Geoff Dunn scored for the Magpies, while Nick Watts and Nathan Lynch fired the home side to a 2-1 victory.
