HORNDEAN are in seventh place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after a win and a defeat in the last week.

The Deans produced a five-star performance to win 5-0 at bottom of the league Folland Sports on Saturday. Nathan Kirby opened the scoring on ten minutes with a header, and Matt Burt made it 2-0 in the 35th minute with a diving header. Burt made it 3-0 on 80 minutes with another header, and Albert Egboh slotted the ball into the net in the 83rd minute to make it 4-0. Egboh completed the scoring in the 88th minute with a header into the far corner.

Horndean then slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Blackfield and Langley on Monday night. Immanuel Soetan’s shot gave the home side the lead in the 30th minute, and Liam Robinson made it 2-0 from the penalty spot on 51 minutes. Kirby then scored a free kick in the 55th minute to pull a goal back for the Deans.
