HORNDEAN had a mixed week in the Sydenhams Wessex League Division, following up a win with a defeat.
The Deans started their week with an emphatic 5-1 win at home to Team Solent last Tuesday night (February 20).
Ash Howes opened the scoring for the Five Heads Park outfit in the seventh minute, and Tafadzwa Kanjanda made it 2-0 on 18 minutes.
Harry Jackson made it 3-0 to the Deans in the 21st minute, and Jackson scored his second on 30 minutes.
Jackson completed his hat-trick in the 57th minute, and Silvano Obeng pulled a goal back for Team Solent on 74 minutes to make it 5-1.
Deans boss Michael Birmingham said: “Our football in the first 30 minutes against Team Solent was tremendous.”
Horndean were unable to build on that win though, as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Lymington Town on Saturday.
Ross Bottomley scored the only goal of the game.
