PETERSFIELD Town’s recruitment drive for players has continued at some pace in the last week.
Manager Jim Macey and his coaching staff have been busy securing the signatures of both new players and familiar faces ahead of the new league campaign starting on August 1.
Last Tuesday night’s (June 27) training session at Love Lane confirmed the arrival of Max Elward to the Rams.
The defender, who can also play in midfield, has previously played for Amesbury Town and Hartley Wintney.
Another new arrival at Love Lane is Matt Brown. He has played up to Southern League level and enjoyed a spell playing in Belgium.
Macey was also pleased to see more players from last season’s reserve team double winning squad committing to another year at Love Lane.
Young striker Joe Boxall, defender Jordan Geddes, attacking forward Mike Newman, midfielder Luke Kendall and young player Robert Filary all signed registration forms after completing the training session.
Macey is happy with the progress being made on assembling his squad of players and he praised the sessions his coaching team of Shane Brayson, Tim Farmer and Mark Summerhill have been putting on to ensure the players are fit and ready for the season to kick-off.
