A YEAR 11 student at The Petersfield School (TPS) enjoyed success in a prestigious cup final.

Charlie Oakwell-Boulton is a member of the under-16 boys’ Hampshire Schools’ FA (HSFA) representative team and, after an impressive season, the team qualified for the highly competitive English Schools’ FA National Cup Final. Charlie played in the final at Stoke City’s Bet365 Stadium, and he was Hampshire’s captain as they won 1-0 against Nottinghamshire Schools’ FA representative team. Charlie was also named player-of-the-match.

Just two days after that cup final success, Charlie collected his league winners medal with his Chichester under-18s team.

Charlie said: “It was a huge experience for me being captain for the first time in such a prestigious match. It was a massive pitch at Stoke – half of us got cramp. But it was absolutely great to win.”
