A YEAR 11 student at The Petersfield School (TPS) is training hard for a keenly anticipated national football match.

Charlie Oakwell-Boulton is a member of the under-16 boys’ Hampshire Schools’ FA (HSFA) representative team and, after an impressive season, the team have qualified for the highly competitive English Schools’ FA National Cup Final.

The final will be played at the Bet365 Stadium, the home of Stoke City Football Club, on Friday. It is an honour for this select group of students to be able to play at a top professional stadium in this prestigious final against Nottinghamshire Schools’ FA representative team.

Charlie said: “I’m really looking forward to playing at a Premier League stadium.”

The HSFA chairman said: “The boys have represented their schools with tremendous discipline, determination and skill.”
