PETERSFIELD Town manager Ian Saunders has brought in two new signings to freshen up his first team squad.
The Rams boss made his moves late last week to ensure the new recruits could both make their debuts in the 2-2 draw at Hanwell Town on Saturday.
Striker Oliver Bailey has been snapped up from Swindon Supermarine on a permanent transfer.
The former Southampton academy player showed some of the pace on Saturday which had been getting him good reviews at his former club in the Southern League’s Division 1 South and West.
He played the full 90 minutes at Hanwell and went close on a number of occasions to scoring on his debut.
Joining him at Love Lane is central defender Adam Brice, who has joined Petersfield on a month’s loan from National League South side Gosport Borough.
Saunders is hoping the Liphook-based player’s experience at Conference level with the likes of Aldershot Town, Woking and Farnborough will tighten up the Rams defence further.
“I’m really pleased to get these two lads in as they will help to freshen up the squad a little bit,” explained Saunders.
“I felt we needed some new faces as we were slightly lacking in some departments. Oliver has plenty of pace and he kept the Hanwell defence busy on Saturday.
“Adam has plenty of experience at Conference level and he came in and did well. I would like to thank Gosport for letting him come here.”
