PETERSFIELD Town have confirmed two new players are joining the club.
Matt Low and Cam Smith have both signed registration forms to join the Rams.
Low, who can play as a forward or an attacking midfield player, was a former professional at Lincoln City before joining Lincoln United. A bad injury took him out the game for two seasons, but he has played for Hayling United for the past three years.
Smith is a midfielder who was formerly at Moneyfields and has played for Hayling for the past two seasons.
Petersfield manager Mark Summerhill is delighted to have secured two of his key targets.
“I’m really pleased to get Matt and Cam in,” he said.
“Matt is a great addition to our forward line.
“He is in great shape and standards will rise with someone like that coming in.
“Cam has a great touch and is a strong lad.
“We have been a little lightweight at times, but Cam adds some steel.”
Summerhill is pleased with how his squad is shaping up.
“We’ve got 19 players confirmed already,” he said. “In the past I’ve always had to scramble for players in the week before the first league game, so it’s great we’re in this position.
“We are bringing in the right calibre of players and the levels have been really high in pre-season training.”
Petersfield have also confirmed Mike Prew has signed registration forms to remain at the club.
