IT USED to be the catchphrase of the A-Team and now it is one which is happily applying to Petersfield Town’s upturn in form.
Hannibal would regularly utter his famous line of ‘I love it when a plan comes together’ during episodes of the popular 1980s television programme and it is something Rams’ coach Tim Farmer is also a believer in.
Following the plan was one of the things he praised his players for doing following their impressive 1-0 win at Cowes Sports on Saturday.
And now he is urging them not to let their levels of performance drop during the weeks ahead when they face some crucial fixtures.
Farmer said: “Our excellent 1-0 win at Cowes came after our hard-earned 0-0 draw against Lymington Town, who were a strong, physical and direct side.
“Both results were a triumph of hard work, togetherness and sticking to an effective game plan to become harder to beat. Four points out of six and back-to-back clean sheets takes us off the bottom of the table and should give us confidence and impetus to maintain current standards.
“Important to me now though is matching the levels that we have set for ourselves in performing to our best.
“Giving everything and a pride in the shirt remain prerequisites for success.”
Petersfield Town head to Shaftesbury on Saturday in the league (3pm) before hosting Horndean at Love Lane next Tuesday evening, October 31, kick-off 7.45pm.
