Petersfield Town 0 Uxbridge 1: PETERSFIELD Town suffered the heartbreak of conceding a winner in the last minute of this match against Uxbridge last Tuesday night.
A draw would have been a fair result in what was an evenly matched contest between two sides who struggled to create any clear cut openings on goal.
It would prove to be a momentary loss of concentration at the back for the Rams which cost them once again.
Neither goalkeeper was even tested in the first half but the goalmouth action sprung into life during the second half.
On 54 minutes the visitors won a corner on the right and when the ball was swung into the box, Mitchell Wiseman got into space on the penalty spot but hooked his shot over the top.
On 68 minutes Abobaker Eisa met a cross from the right but his header flashed across the goal and eight minutes later Matt Andrews had a chance at the other end following the ball being played in from the left but his shot was easily held by keeper Paul McCarthy.
Uxbridge went close again when Wayne Carter put his header just wide and then Matthew Woods fired high and wide of the target with only keeper George Hill to beat.
Petersfield then had their opportunity to score when after good build up play down the left, the ball was floated towards the far post and Alfy Whittingham put his header straight at McCarthy.
The visitors snatched all three points in the final minute of the game when the ball was only half cleared after being crossed in from the right and the second cross found Tayo Davis-Coker unmarked on the penalty spot and he guided the ball into the net.
Petersfield: Hill, Searle, Medway, Cripps, Geddes, Buckland, Tee (Andrews), Green, Whittingham (Kendall), Wedlake (Giles), Miroy. Subs not used: Graham, Bray.
