Hamble Club 8 Petersfield Town 0: PETERSFIELD Town fell to an emphatic defeat at Hamble Club last Thursday night.
The home side took the lead in the sixth minute. The ball was played up into the penalty area to Nathan Lynch and he held off his marker before laying the ball off to Nick Watts who slotted his shot home.
The second goal came on 23 minutes when the ball was hit across the box from the left and Doug Rowe got on the end of it to smash his first time shot past keeper Luke Eaton and into the net.
Hamble made it 3-0 on 31 minutes. Lynch was pushed in the back when he looked to get his head to a cross into the box and he made no mistake in tucking away the penalty that was awarded.
Hamble made it 4-0 a minute before half time when Jack McCarthy floated a cross into the box and Lynch met the ball with a bicycle kick and it bounced into the far corner of the net.
The home side got their fifth goal on 50 minutes. Some quick, short passing from the halfway line saw the ball worked forward quickly until it found Mohammad Nyang inside the box and he slid his shot low under Eaton and into the net.
Goal number six came seven minutes later after Rowe was pulled back inside the box and Lynch made no mistake with his spot kick.
It was 7-0 on 62 minutes when Ben Kemplen fired his shot home from 25 yards out.
The final goal arrived on 82 minutes when River Smith raced clear from midfield and he fired the ball home low past Eaton.
