Petersfield Town 6 Folland Sports 1: PETERSFIELD Town’s impressive start to 2019 continued on Saturday when they made it three league victories in a row with an emphatic 6-1 win over Folland Sports at Love Lane.

The Rams took charge from the outset, and could have been two up inside the first five minutes with Matt Rowland and Gari Judd both having good chances.

Petersfield did not have to wait long to make the breakthrough though when in the ninth minute Rowland was through on goal and this time he made no mistake.

The visitors were reduced to ten men on 12 minutes after Luke Ryman was sent off for bringing down Rowland when through on goal.

For the remainder of the half the Rams made most of the running and in the 39th minute Rowland netted once again to double Petersfield’s lead and put the Rams firmly in control at the break.

Petersfield made the perfect start to the second half when Gari Judd turned in a cross from Jake Bourton to put the home side 3-0 up in the 48th minute.

It was 4-0 on 59 minutes when Michael Wright fired into the roof of the net, and two minutes later Judd calmly finished after being put through on goal.

Folland did pull one back in the 64th minute through Keiron Dowell, but the Rams had the final word in the 88th minute when substitute Luca Williams was played through and he steered the ball past the advancing keeper to send the Petersfield supporters home with smiles on their faces.
