Bashley 0 Petersfield Town 5: Petersfield Town eased their way through to the next round of the Russell Cotes Cup with a comfortable victory at Bashley on Tuesday night.

After an even start to the game, the Rams scored three times before half time against a Bashley side who have only won once in all competitive matches this season.

Joe Richardson struck twice for the visitors and Andy Todd headed home the other goal before the interval.

In the second half, the score remained unchanged until late on when substitute Oliver Bailey came off the bench to score a fine individual goal.

Bashley’s misery was compounded when the final goal of the night for Petersfield was scored by one of their own players.

The Rams will travel to Wessex Division 1 side Christchurch in the second round.
