PETERSFIELD Town’s supporters face a tough choice when it comes to selecting their player of the season.

There are at least six players from the Rams’ squad who are in serious contention for the much coveted prize.

The winner will be announced during the club’s end of season awards evening, which follows the final home game at Love Lane on April 23.

Looking at Petersfield’s attacking options, Joe Briggs and Howard Neighbour stand out as obvious player of the year contenders due to the number of goals they have notched up in the Southern League and other competitions this campaign.

In midfield, the likes of Stuart Green and Joe Richardson are sure to feature in the supporters’ considerations, thanks to their consistent displays.

In defence, Lewis Hyde and Jamie Ford have stood strong in the face of the new challengers the club has taken on this season.

Sean Wain and Olly Searle are also worthy of consideration as they have become regular picks in the side.

Keeper Anthony Ender has become popular among Rams’ fans after replacing Matt Shortt between the sticks.

To vote, supporters need to fill in a voting form available from the bar in the Love Lane clubhouse or e-mail their votes to: [email protected]

The presentation evening takes place at the clubhouse from 7pm on April 23. Tickets cost £5 each and are available from the bar.
