The merger between Petersfield Town Football Club and Petersfield Town Juniors has officially gone through.

The merger went through formally at an annual general meeting last Wednesday (July 5).

Petersfield Town FC and Petersfield Town Juniors both held their annual general meetings before dissolving both clubs.

Following these meetings, the new merged club, Petersfield Town FC, held their first annual general meeting and voted in the executive committee, adult operating committee and youth operating committee.

Official notice has been sent to the Football Association and the relevant leagues.

The move had been in the pipeline for several months and sees the two clubs merge to give Petersfield a unified voice for youth and adult football and begin a new era for football in the town.

Nick Orr, who is the chairman of the new Petersfield Town FC, said: “What both clubs have achieved in a short period of time, to deliver one club, has been outstanding.

“Petersfield now has one united football club and all the hard work begins now to make it sustainable, successful and a legacy for the future.”
