Petersfield Town 1 Egham Town 0: Petersfield Town continued their climb up the Southern League Division 1 Central table after beating league leaders Egham Town on Wednesday night.

It was an evenly contested game, with both sides creating good chances during the first half.

The decisive moment came four minutes before half time when Joe Briggs beat several defenders before crossing low into the box. The ball was half cleared but only as far as Alek Przespolewski who smashed the ball first time into the net from 20 yards out.

Strong defending during the second half ensured the Rams earned all three points, a result which puts them in 14th place in the table.

Petersfield’s next game is on Tuesday, November 3, when they travel to Bedford Town.
