PETERSFIELD Town made it six wins on the spin in the league with a commanding victory against Totton and Eling at Love Lane on Saturday.

Both sides were evenly matched early on, but the home side created the better chances and Olly Kershaw blasted over the crossbar.

The Rams continued to create chances, and a free kick fell to Jordan Geddes, who missed the target from close range.

Matt Low was next to go close, but Totton keeper Oli Eyres stuck out a strong right hand to keep it goalless.

The home side took the lead soon after the break. Marvin Orepo flicked the ball to Low on the wing, and he clipped in a pinpoint cross for Harry Bedford to steer into the net from close range.

Minutes later Bedford had a chance to double his tally when he raced through on goal, but fired over the bar.

The hosts doubled their lead on 78 minutes. A deep goal kick was headed into a dangerous area and Low won the race to the ball and tapped it past the keeper and into the open goal.

The points were wrapped up three minutes later when Jordan Geddes scored his first goal of the season. Cameron Smith whipped in a deep ball and Geddes nodded home.

The visitors won a penalty in stoppage time when Kris Stevens blocked a shot on the line with his arm and was sent off. The penalty was blazed over.

Jordan Neal and Gari Judd both narrowly missed the target with headers late on as the score remained 3-0.
