Petersfield Town manager Connor Hoare was left to rue missed chances after his side lost 1-0 at home to Bournemouth Poppies in the Wessex League Premier Division.
Jamie Beasley scored the only goal of the game for the visitors in the 26th minute. The Rams created plenty of chances, but were unable to find an equaliser.
“It was like someone had put a charm on their goal,” said Hoare.
“We created enough chances to win three games. We’ve come away with a 1-0 defeat but on another day we could have scored five or six. Credit to Bournemouth – they put their bodies on the line to defend their goal and made some great blocks.
“The lads have taken accountability for missing chances, but we need to remain positive and not get too down about it.”
