PETERSFIELD Town manager Mark Summerhill was content with his side’s 0-0 draw at New Milton Town on Saturday afternoon.
The point keeps the Rams in 15th place in Division 1 of the Sydenhams Wessex League, eight points ahead of New Milton.
Summerhill was pleased with the clean sheet and a point on the road, although he felt his team had enough chances to win the game.
“We probably could and should have won the game as we had some good chances on a very poor pitch,” said Summerhill.
“It was very windy and very difficult conditions, but I’m happy with a point.
“Away from home you always take a point.
“Nick Hall was away so Jacob Orr came in from the reserves in goal and he did really well.”
One player who returned to action for the Rams on Saturday was midfielder Harry Tremlett, who was back from France.
“Harry was a bit rusty but he got better as the game went on,” said Summerhill.
“Mike Prew played well again and everything went through him.
“It’s given me a nice selection headache as I’ve had Harry and Michael Wright in midfield, but Mike has done really well in there.
“We also gave Marvin Orepo a bit more time off the bench and he looks a real talent with pace to burn.
“Marvin and Will Webb both came on and they were positive changes to try and win the game.”
