PETERSFIELD Town manager Mark Summerhill was delighted with his team’s performance during their 1-0 win against Verwood Town on Saturday.

The win took the Rams up to 14th place in Division 1 of the Sydenhams Wessex League.

Summerhill said: “We had a fresh feel about us and we played really well.

“We got the early goal, which gave us a lot of confidence and set us up for the game.

“We defended really well and we now look forward to the trip to Laverstock on Saturday.

“If we get a good result there we can then get ourselves on a good run.”
