PETERSFIELD Town manager Ian Saunders has added a further two new signings to his squad ahead of the new season.

The Rams boss has captured one of his summer targets in the form of striker Daniel Simmonds.

The player has been on the wish list of signings for Saunders for some time and he had impressed during his three friendly appearances against Amesbury Town, Fawley and Hamble Club in the last week, striking home a number of impressive goals.

Simmonds has been a regular goalscorer in West Sussex football in recent seasons and Saunders is pleased to have secured his signature in the face of competition from other clubs.

His arrival will boost Petersfield’s attacking options and ensure Saunders has plenty of forwards to choose from going into the new season.

Another new signing may be a familiar face for some ardent Petersfield supporters as he has played for one of the club’s teams in the past.

Jordan Warren returned to Love Lane at the weekend, having previously appeared for the club’s youth team.

The youngster rejoins the Rams after spending last season with West Sussex side Pagham.
